I know you aren't making a big deal out of this but I still feel like it would be such a bummer. I mean it ends up being such a lost opportunity to get your product out to a mass market and be featured by a company that you probably like.....unfortunately though I feel like Urban Outfitters does this a lot and since BHLDN is their sister company it's bound to happen there too.
In my opinion they look identical, it's a beautiful design and I'm sorry you had it copied.
Yea that's true of quite a bit in that section. Lots of it you can find originally on Etsy too, particularly the decorations and such. It's a shame. At least purchase from the artists instead of recreating it! I expected better from them.
Wow, if that's not the most blatant rip off EVER. It seems like this happens far too often with Urban Outfitters/Anthro. I think I may have to write a strongly written letter.
wow, this is incredibly offensive. You know if this happened to me with my published written work, I'd be speaking to my copyright lawyer right about now ... I don't understand how they can get away with it. Kind of makes me happy I don't buy anything from Anthro and Urban Outfitters.
I saw that a few weeks ago and thought they were ripping off you, too. For what it's worth, yours is way prettier and definitely better made--it's obvious!
It definitely stinks, but it isn't a "breach of copyright" as someone pointed out. Currently, apparel designs aren't offered that sort of protection - for legitimate reasons. See here: http://www.publicknowledge.org/node/576
and here: http://www.copyright.gov/docs/regstat072706.html
or google it yourself.
I'm sorry that independent designers are getting ripped off. It's a shameful practice, but pretty much legal.
It seems like a lot of people are outing Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie/BHLDN for blatantly ripping off other people's designs lately. I hope people keep it up because it's not cool what they are doing.
I'm really quite sad that this happened to you. I have loved your work for a while and immediately recognized your style in this when I saw it on BHLDN. As everyone else has mentioned, this is apparently an accusation that the Urban Outfitters Inc. brands get a lot of. They carry the work of some designers and blatantly rip off the work of others. It's just so disheartening....
You seem lovely Elizabeth and so is your work! I'll always be rooting for you and your business to flourish in spite of such nuisances.
Boo!!! All I can say is that you should have a big fat smile on your face knowing that the idea and design are yours, and you styled it SO much better.
That really sucks. thank goodness for people who believe in buying local. I am going to assume that their apparel is all made overseas and won't have the craftmanship that your products, or any other small business product will have. and please, anyone in the fashion industry knows you have to change a design 7 ways to make it "new".

Yup, that's BS.

NOT COOL. Wow--so blatant.

reason #823047 to be turned off to bhldn! so disappointed in that brand.
I saw this the other day, and I thought the EXACT same thing. Really, anthropologie?
yeah, anthro, they rip off everyone. it would be flattering if they weren't so jerky.
yours is so much better!

Oh wow! That's crazy I am so sorry:-)
ohhhhhh NO THEY DIDN'T! Wow. That is a super obvious rip off!

fuckers.
RUDE AND WRONG!
This is such blatant breach of copyright! Shocking.
If it's any consolation, yours is so much lovelier.
How disappointing. But kudos to you for designing something so beautiful that they'd want to rip it off. Your work is lovely!

I'm just sayin' that 's BULLSHIT.

I wish I could say that I was surprised.
Urban Outfitters/Anthropologie/BHLDN is notorious for ripping off indie designers. You've given me yet another reason to quit shopping there!
Thought of you last night when I read this on the Huffington post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/26/urban-outfitters-steal_n_867604.html
Hopefully a string of stories like yours will get their attention!

shame on them. so obvious.

Wow. This is so sad to see.
This makes me so angry. I'm disappointed for you and furious with them. This has happened so many times and it is just so very wrong!

Miley Cyrus has been twittering about Urban Outfitters stealing designs. I guess they stole someone's designs on etsy. :(
